Kazakh frontier guards foil pharmaceutical drugs smuggling

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan's frontier guards foiled an attempted contraband traffic at the Khorgos checkpoint and detained a 44 -year-old national of Kazakhstan with four boxes full of pharmaceutical drugs and more than 1,200 USB flash drives, the Kazakh Frontier Service said.
The same day the Almaty checkpoint guards detained a 19-year-old girl with undeclared USD 31,000 in cash while she was trying to leave the country on a flight bound for Istanbul.
