Kazakh, French Presidents adopted Joint Declaration
Heads of State hailed the dynamic development of Kazakh-French relations within the strategic partnership that unite the two countries. The Kazakh-French Presidential Commission and its main constituents - intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation and Business Council contribute to intensification of the ties, the document reads.
Nicolas Sarkozy congratulated President Nursultan Nazarbayev on the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence. Over the past years Kazakhstan overcame serious challenges and provided conditions for uninterrupted economic growth and peaceful co-existence of different ethnic and religious groups.
Besides, the declaration focuses on a wide range of important issues, including the need of improvement of the global management with the core role of the United Nations, preservation of wide international mobilization to support people of Libya and support the rehabilitation process in Afghanistan.
Accoridng to the declaration, France hails the process of extension of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Council of Europe.
