Kazakh FM presents new draft treaty of friendship and cooperation with Russia

MOSCOW. January 25. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan presented a new draft treaty on friendship and cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia in the XXI century, Foreign Minister Yerlan Idrissov stated during the meeting with his Russian colleague Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.
Lavrov noted the sides would continue to discuss the entire spectrum of bilateral relations in line with the fundamental and strategic agreements between the presidents.
"Our cooperation is the most multifaceted, covering every conceivable sphere. In all areas we have deep understanding and a high level of confidence," said Idrissov.
"In accordance with the instructions of our leaders, I brought our new draft treaty of friendship and cooperation in the XXI century, which does not replace, but rather complements and brings our cooperation in all areas to a higher level," said the head of the Kazakh MFA.
Today, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and Russia are expected to sign cooperation plan for 2013.
