Kazakh FM named priorities of further OIC activity

ASTANA. June 30. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ Today the 38th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation has ended its work in Astana.
Delivering a speech at a closing ceremony, Kazakh Minister of Foreign Affairs Yerzhan Kazykhanov noted that during the chairmanship the country intends to actively participate in settlement of the problem in the Middle East and the matters connected with Palestine.
He said that Kazakhstan intends to continue its work on expansion of partnership of the OIC with other international organizations, in particular the SCO, Council of the Turkic-speaking countries and others.
"We should promote the peaceful process in North Africa and work on non-proliferation of nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction," Y.Kazykhanov resumed.
