Kazakh Financial Police concluded investigating notorious criminal case in Atyrau region

ASTANA. April 24. KAZINFORM – The Kazakh Agency for Combating Economic and Corruption Crimes (Financial Police) has completed the investigation of criminal cases on the facts of corruption and economic crimes by officials of the Akimat of Atyrau region and heads of contractors. This has been informed today by Murat Zhumanbay, financial police spokesman, at a briefing.
"In the period of the abovementioned cases the Agency’s investigative team assigned and carried out 68 various examinations, questioned more than 750 people, conducted 79 searches and seized more than 30 thousand documents", said M.Zhumanbay.
According to him, as a result of the studying done by the team the organized criminal group was liquidated, which had created and had been led by Bergey Ryskaliyev, the former akim of Atyrau region; the group had been acting on the territory of the region for more than 6 years.
