Kazakh fighter Asu Almabaev (20-2) participated in the UFC Fight Night 245 in Las Vegas, Nevada, Kazinform News Agency reports citing Sports.kz.
Almabaev defeated Matheus Nicolau (19-4-1) by unanimous decision of the judges with a score of 29-28, 29-28, 29-28 in the flyweight division. Almabaev attempted to take down Nicolau six times, with only one successful attempt. The Kazakh fighter knocked his opponent down in the third round.
Thus, Asu Almabaev secured his 21st triumph in his professional career, while Matheus Nicolau suffered his 5th defeat.
Following Almabaev's 4th UFC bout, he has achieved a 4-0 record.
