Kazakh farmers harvested over 86% of crops

Kazakhstan harvested 14.9 million tons of grain crop that is 86.2% of the planned area. 13.6 million tons of grain with an average yield of 9.2 centners per hectare was thrashed so far, Kazinform Agency cites the Agriculture Ministry’s press service.
This year farmers faced problems related to weather conditions, drought in the south and heavy downpours in the north. The Government took measures to support farmers affected by weather conditions, it said in a statement.
