Kazakh Embassy reps laid wreath at mass graves in Baku

An annul flower-laying ceremony on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War took place in Baku with the participation of CIS ambassadors, accredited in Azerbaijan, public figures, deputies and war veterans. During the Great Patriotic War, despite great difficulties, the Azerbaijani oilmen showed courage and heroism and provided the frontline with fuel. Thanks to the selfless work of oilmen, Azerbaijan oil production reached its peak - 23, 5 million tons of "black gold", which amounted to 71, 4 % of all oil produced in the USSR. In general, during the war, Azerbaijan provided the country with 75 million tons of oil, and 22 million tons of gasoline and other petroleum products. Baku oil has made an invaluable contribution to the victory over fascism.
