ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan is pondering over the possibility of allowing school leavers to retake the Unified National Testing in the future.

According to Sayat Nyussupov who heads the Ministry's Committee for control in the sphere of education, ‘in the future Kazakhstani school leavers will be given a chance to re-sit the test. Mr. Nyussupov told a weekly press conference that ‘according to the regulations UNT participants cannot use technical devices during the testing. In order to avoid cheating, the test takers are checked before the UNT start and ought to hand in their mobile devices.' In his words, the number of cases when students tried to sneak their mobile phones into a testing room has grown dramatically over the past years.
