Kazakh Economy Minister visits Germany

LIN-BRUSSELS. September 8. KAZINFORM /Yerzhan Ospanov/ Kazakh Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Bakhyt Sultanov is paying a working visit to Germany for participation in some economic events within the framework of "The Year of Kazakhstan in Germany". The Minister is accompanied by the economic delegation of the Ministry of Transport and Communication, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Healthcare, SamrukKazyna National Welfare Fund and its subsidiaries, Kazatomprom, KazAgro, Commerce and Industry Chamber of Kazakhstan and private entrepreneurs. Senator Yevgeny Aman is in the structure of delegation; the Kazakh embassy in Berlin informs.

The first point in the Minister's program was "The Day of Economy of Kazakhstan", which was held on September 7 in Dresden and organized. It is necessary to note the economic cooperation of Saxony with our republic in such spheres like medical equipment, pharmacy, optical instruments.

Delivering a speech, Minister B.Sultanov informed the Kazakh and German participants of basic programs of the country's economic development, preferences and support of foreign investors and entrepreneurs in the country, measures taken by the Government for overcoming the consequences of the world financial crisis.

Kazakh Ambassador to Germany Nurlan Onzhanov informed of the beginning of implementation of the Kazakh-German Programme of innovation-investment partnership, which was taken in the course of the state visit of German President Horst Köhler to Kazakhstan in September, 2008. The head of the Kazakh diplomatic mission informed of plans of cooperation in political, economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

The planned opening of the Kazakh Honorable Consulate in Saxony will activate our relations. The Saxon State Minister for Economic Affairs and Labor Thomas Jurk noted development prospects of the Kazakh-Saxon trade-economic cooperation.
