Kazakh diplomat met with head of Tajik State Committee for Investments and State Property

The issues of bilateral economic cooperation and the progress of realization of the protocol concluded by the Intergovernmental Tajik-Kazakh Commission for Economic Cooperation as of November 4-5, 2008 were considered. Besides, the parties discussed interaction in the spheres of energy and industry, investments and financing of joint projects, transport and communications, education and tourism.

The date of holding of a regular sitting of the intergovernmental commission will be fixed in the nearest time. The Kazakh diplomat noted that within the framework of the Kazakh-Tajik Direct Investments Fund founded at the initiative of the presidents of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan in 2008 the Tajik side should present public investment projects implemented at the state level.

The issues of further bilateral collaboration in the context of the oncoming Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OSCE were also discussed.
