Kazakh delegates take part in Vienna mass media freedom seminar

The event took place with support of Kazakhstan which is chairing the OSCE Group for relations with the Mediterranean partner countries this year.

A Guideline of Mass Media Self-Management prepared by the OSCE Bureau for freedom of mass media was presented at the seminar.

 As part of the event the participants discussed the issue of interrelation between the freedom and responsibility of mass media and the importance of encouragement of mutual respect and intercultural understanding.

Kairat Abdrakhmanov, permanent representative of Kazakhstan at the OSCE, and Miklosh Harasti, OSCE Representative for freedom of mass media, addressed at the opening of the seminar.

The delegation of Kazakhstan consisted of members of the Presidential Administration, Ministry of Culture and Information and the Khabar Agency.
