Kazakh Consul General in Dubai holds meeting with ruler of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah (PHOTO)

The Governor received Kazakh diplomat at his residence in the city of Ras Al Khaimah.
Consul General announced the start of his diplomatic service in the UAE, noting the high level of political, economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries.

In turn, Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi stressed that the positive development of bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates has been influenced heavily by close ties at the level of heads of state.
During the conversation, the ruler of Ras Al Khaimah noted that holding early presidential elections in Kazakhstan will have a positive effect on the maintenance of stability, economic and social development.

"The suggestion of People's Assembly of Kazakhstan is very timely, relevant and politically correct. The initiative was announced with the view to the complex geopolitical processes in the former Soviet Union and in the world. I hope that the people of friendly Kazakhstan will opt for political stability and sustainable growth. Kazakhstan is an important partner of the Emirates in Central Asia," said the ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.
Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi also praised the mediation efforts of Astana to resolve the Ukrainian crisis.

Speaking about the development of bilateral relations, the Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan informed the head of Ras Al Khaimah on broad prospects for trade and economic cooperation occurred due to the opening of a new railway line Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran. The line allows local entrepreneurs to reduce time for delivery of goods to the Persian Gulf and significantly lower transportation costs. In addition, A.Issagaliyev invited Emirati investors to actively participate in the implementation of major investment projects in the framework of the new economic policy called Nurly Zhol.

During the meeting, Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi expressed willingness of the authorities of the emirate to develop relations with Kazakhstan. He noted that the Kazakh side, in the face of the Consulate General, may expect constructive cooperation with the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.

Further, Consul General visited the Agency for Investment of Ras Al Khaimah (RAKIA) where the Kazakh side has been presented investment opportunities of the emirate. A.Issagaliyev also met with the leadership of the Agency for Tourism Development. Representatives of the agency noted the high interest in attracting Kazakh tourists to the emirate.

Ras Al Khaimah is the emirate is in the northern part of the UAE, bordering Oman's exclave of Musandam. It covers an area of 1,684 square km. The capital city and home of most residents is also called Ras Al Khaimah. Its name means "Top of the Tent".
