Kazakh Constitutional Council considers President's Appeal regarding Law on amendments to Constitution

ASTANA. January 24. KAZINFORM /Askar Bimendin/ Appeal of Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev on the Law "On amendments to the Constitution of Kazakhstan" adopted at the Parliament's joint session on January 14 is considered at a sitting chaired by Head of the Kazakh Constitutional Council Igor Rogov today.
The amendments to the Constitution refer to the possibility of extending the mandate of the current President at the national referendum.
Representatives of the state and law-enforcement bodies as well as scientific experts attend the sitting.
