Kazakh Commission on Combating Corruption held session in Akorda
Measures taken by the state bodies on prevention of corruption in the field of people migration and by the Akimats of North Kazakhstan and West Kazakhstan regions on implementation of the state and regional programs on combating corruption were discussed at the session.
"Form the moment of gaining independence the issues of regulation of migration processes are one of the most important directions of the state policy and the policy of the President of the country", K.Saudabayev said.
According to him, advantageous location of the country, transparency of borders with the CIS member states, favorable economic climate, socio-political stability, liberal international migration policy are the main factors promoting growth of labor activity of foreigners in Kazakhstan including illegal migration.
"As the result, lack of proper order in use of foreign labor resources, inadequate legislation, bureaucratization of the main migration procedures promote growth of corruption among the officials of controlling state bodies in the field of migration", K.Saudabayev said.
Upon the results of the session, the Commission recommended to the corresponding state bodies to take measures on combating corruption in the field of migration control and implementation of the plans on realization of the state and regional programs on combating the corruption for 206-2010.
