Kazakh classic literature author Dulat Issabekov passes away
Kazakh author, winner of the State Prize of Kazakhstan Dulat Issabekov has died at the age of 83, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Born in Chimkent region in 1942, Dulat Issabekov graduated from the Kazakh State University.
Starting out as a senior editor for Kazakh radio’s literary and dramatic broadcast, Issabekov rose up through the ranks to become the director of the Kazakh Scientific Research Institute of Culture and Art History.
Dulat Issabekov embarked on his creative path in the mid-60s, as he published his first short story Zholda in 1936. His short story Shoiynkulat was included in young authors’ collection Tangy Shyk, and later in Kazakhstani writers’ collection Proshchatsya ne khochu. However, he achieved all-Union and foreign fame in the 70-80s.
