Kazakh citizens vote in Qurultay elections in Kyrgyzstan
Voting in the elections to Kazakhstan’s new unicameral parliament Qurultay is underway in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, Qazinform News Agency reports.
Polling station No. 428, located in the Embassy of Kazakhstan, opened at 7:00 local time. According to the embassy, 200 Kazakh citizens registered on the permanent consular list are eligible to vote.

The first voters arrived early in the morning, including citizens temporarily residing in Kyrgyzstan for work purposes. Two international observers from the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly are monitoring the voting process. Media representatives are also present here.
Voting will continue until 20:00 local time, after which the territorial commission will begin counting ballots.
Earlier, polling stations opened at Kazakhstan’s Embassy in Beijing and consulates general in Shanghai, Xi’an and Hong Kong.
More than 12.6 million Kazakhstanis are eligible to take part in the vote. The largest number of registered voters are in Astana and Almaty cities, as well as Almaty and Turkistan regions
