Kazakh boxer Rassul Assankhanov storms into IBA Youth World Championships semifinals

Kazakh boxer Rassul Assankhanov (92kg) propelled to semifinals of the IBA Youth World Championships 2024 held in Budva, Montenegro, Kazinform News Agency cites Sports.kz.
The Kazakh athlete defeated Kuo Chao of China in the 92kg quarterfinal bout of the IBA Youth World Championships. Rassul Assankhanov beat the Chinese athlete via split decision. Thus, Rassul became a semifinalist of the IBA Youth World Championships and guaranteed himself bronze.
Earlier it was reported that Kazakh boxer Sanzhar-Ali Begaliyev (75kg) advanced to semifinals of the IBA Youth World Championships 2024, where he will be vying for a place on the podium. He defeated Yurisniel Abreu Ardiles of Cuba in the 75kg quarterfinal fight with a score of 4:1.
