Kazakh athletes in top 5 at World Ski Orienteering Championships in Norway

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The World Ski Orienteering Championships kicked off in Hamar, Norway on Tuesday (February 10).

Olga Novikova and Mikhail Sorokin of Kazakhstan came 4th in the Mixed Sprint Relay. "Our athletes demonstrated one of the best results among 19 teams participating in the championships. The mixed sprint relay is quite intense. It consists of 6 stages, 7-9 minutes each. We are very proud that Olga and Mikhail were among top 5 teams at the event," the national teams and sports reserve department said in a statement.
