Kazakh and Russian Senators discuss coop prospects

MOSCOW. October 28. KAZINFORM /Narymbek Ismagulov/ Within the framework of the official visit of Kazakh Senate Speaker Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev to Moscow the parliamentary group for cooperation of the Kazakh Senate and the Federation Council of Russia have held the third session.
The session was carried out under joint chairmanship of Chairman of the Kazakh Senate Committee for Social and Cultural Development Akhan Bizhanov and Vice Chairman of the CIS Affairs Committee of the Federation Council Vladimir Babichev.
The parliamentarians discussed the issues regarding the state and prospects if legislative support of the Kazakh-Russian near-border cooperation and improving bilateral contractual legal framework in the trade-economic and humanitarian spheres.
Information about anti-crisis measures on overcoming consequences of the world economic crisis was listened to, the results of making amendments to the national tax legislations were also considered.
