Kazakh Ambassador visited Shumen Province, Bulgaria

ASTANA. May 29. KAZINFORM Yesterday, on May 28, Kazakhstan Ambassador to Bulgaria Serzhan Abdykarimov visited the city of Shumen, the economic and cultural centre of the North-East Bulgaria.
Within the visit the Diplomat held a meeting with Mayor of Shumen Todor Todorov. S. Abdykarimov informed him of the main provisions of the Kazakh President?s Address to the Nation as of March 6, 2009 ?Through Crisis to Renovation and Prosperity? and ?Path to Europe? state program as well as the Kazakh Government?s anti-crisis plan. Issues and prospects of the bilateral trade and economic cooperation of Kazakhstan and Bulgaria were discussed. Particular attention was given to the tasks and priorities of the oncoming chairmanship of Kazakhstan in the OSCE.
During the visit a special presentation of 2009-2011 ?Path to Europe? state program and the Plan on its realization took place. The presentation was attended by the authorities of the Shumen province, representatives of the commerce and industry associations and business circles. Special emphasis was laid on the goals of the program ? moving of Kazakhstan to the level of strategic partnership with Europe in many spheres. Recent joining of Bulgaria the list of the countries which citizens enjoy simplified visa regime in Kazakhstan became and efficient measure promoting activation of the Kazakh-Bulgarian cooperation.
The participants of the presentation were demonstrated a documentary about Kazakhstan which allowed them getting familiarized themselves with the modern development of our country, sights of its capital city Astana and nature, a press release of the Kazakh Embassy in Bulgaria reads.
