Kazakh Ambassador to Russia met with Kazakhstani veterans arrived in Moscow for celebration of Victory Day

MOSCOW. May 9. KAZINFORM /Narymbek Ismagulov/ Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Russia Zautbek Turisbekov met with 34 Kazakhstani veterans arrived in Moscow to take part in the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Great Victory.

As the Kazakh Embassy reports, Z.Turisbekov congratulated the guests on the Victory Day and expressed gratitude and appreciation to all War veterans. He informed on the work held under instructions of the Kazakh President on perpetuation of Kazakhstani soldiers of the 100th and 101st riffle brigades formed in Almaty and Aktobe who took part in hostilities during Rzhev-Vyazma Operation. Installation of a monument to Kazakhstanis at the territory of the memorial complex of Rzhev city is scheduled for autumn this year.

The veterans also visited memorial complex at the Hill of Respectful salutation and laid flowers to the Tomb of Unknown Soldier during the visit.

Yesterday the Kazakh veterans took part in the reburial of Kazakhstani soldiers in Molodoi Tud village in Tver region as well.

They will also visit Volokolamsk town on May 9.
