Kazakh Ambassador to Russia meets with reps of the leading media

The Ambassador briefed the guests with the achievements of the country's 22-year period and noted that Kazakhstan had become a forward-looking and self-sufficient state, and a responsible partner in the international arena .

Mr.Orazbakov focused on the current status and activities of Russian TV channels and publications in the field of information and emphasized the special status of the Russian language in our country.

The Ambassador noted that the meeting came on the eve of the national holiday and there gathered famous masters of Russian journalism whose objectivity was making a significant contribution to further strengthening of friendship and cooperation between our two brotherly countries .

After his speech Mr.Orazbakov handed individual media workers the letters of thanks on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and on his own behalf, and also awarded the Medal to the Russian media representative on behalf of the Minister of Defense.

For their part, the heads of federal publications thanked the ambassador for his warm welcome and open conversation, expressed a desire to continue to report objectively on events aimed at strengthening the Kazakh-Russian relations.

During an informal conversation the diplomat answered the questions of journalists from leading media in Kazakhstan and Russia.

The event was attended by over 30 public and private employees of mass media.
