Kazakh Ambassador to Belgium suggests setting up common business councils of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus in Europe

BRUSSELS. February 17. KAZINFORM Addressing the conference devoted to the Customs Union "Single customs, single tariff" the Kazakh Ambassador to Belgium proposed to create common chambers of commerce and industry and business councils of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus in Europe.

According to Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Belgium and Luxembourg, head of the Mission to the EU and NATO Yerik Utembayev, the three countries' business is involved now in forming the Single Economic Space and takes active part in elaboration of proposals reflecting the interests of the business community.

"To this end, I believe it is essential to stress the need to ensure more efficient cooperation of the CU business with foreign partners, forge ties and cooperation of the business and state authorities. Such partnership may focus on discussion of amendments to the Customs Code of the Customs Union, increase of goods turnover volume and connecting traffic through the CU countries to/from the Asian region, reduction and establishment of single traffic rates."

"Common chambers of commerce and industry and business councils of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus in Europe will let work in new economic realia and create conditions for the European companies willing to enter our markets," he added.
