Kazakh Ambassador presents credentials to President of Greece

ANA. September 16. KAZINFORM. Kazakh Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Sergey Nurtayev has presented credentials to President of Greece Karolos Papoulias in Athens today; Kazinform refers to the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Affairs Ministry.
After the ceremony the parties held a talk. S. Nurtayev familiarized the President of Greece with the main provisions of the State Program "Path to Europe", the progress of preparation for the chairmanship in the OSCE in 2010, internal political and socio-economic reforms of Kazakhstan and the Government's measures on overcoming the world economic crisis.
President Papoulias noted that he closely observed the achievements of Kazakhstan in the economic and political spheres. He emphasized that Athens intended to bring the bilateral relations with Astana to a qualitatively new level. He asked to convey to President Nazarbayev his good wishes and invitation to visit Greece at 'convenient time'.
