In a speech delivered at the reception held at the Rixos Hotel, Amreyev, who took up his post in the Turkish capital in July 2008, called the past two-and-a-half years in Turkey some of the happiest times of his life. Recalling that Turkey and Kazakhstan signed a strategic partnership agreement in 2009, Amreyev also noted that Turkey assumed the rotating presidency of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in June.

"Turkey is a very important country in the world and in the region. We are sure that Turkey will revitalize the CICA process," said Amreyev, whose country is a founding member of the CICA. Amreyev was joined by Presidency Secretary-General Mustafa İsen, former President Süleyman Demirel and former Culture Minister Namık Kemal Zeybek while cutting a farewell cake at the reception, Kazinform refers to Today's Zaman.
