Kazakh Ambassador paid working visit to Fukuoka, Japan

The diplomat took part in the 37th Williamsburg Conference, one of the leading international forums on promotion of Asian relations with other countries. Within the framework of development of cooperation with Kyushu Island in the spheres of agriculture, engineering, energy and tourism the Kazakh Ambassador held meetings with the authorities and business circles of the region. At the meeting with Wataru Aso, the governor of Fukuoka Prefecture, the issues of bilateral relations and prospects of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Kyushu Island were discussed. The parties agreed to develop bilateral contacts in the sphere of cultural and humanitarian interaction and tourism, including holding of photo expositions about Kazakhstan?s tourism potential in Fukuoka. Besides, he held talks with Chairman of the Kyushu Economic Federation Shingo Matsuo and Chairman of the Fukuoka Commerce and Industry Chamber Hiroyuki Kawabe. The parties discussed the current state of Kazakhstan?s economy, Government?s antirecessionary measures and investment opportunities. The Japanese side expressed interest in developing cooperation in the field of agriculture and fishing industry. President of Kyushu Electric Power Co. Toshio Manabe appreciates the high level of energy cooperation and expressed hope for further mutually beneficial partnership in the field of atomic industry.
