Kazakh Ambassador met with Canadian Senate Speaker

ASTANA. December 14. KAZINFORM Kazakh Ambassador Yerlan Abildayev met with Speaker of the Senate of Canada Noël A. Kinsella in Ottawa. The issues of bilateral political and economic relations were discussed; the Kazakh MFA's press service told Kazinform.

In particular, the sides discussed the organization of a visit of the Canadian parliamentary delegation to Kazakhstan.
Ambassador Abildayev informed of the main aspects of Kazakhstan's external and internal policy, current economic situation and anti-recessionary measures. He also told about Kazakhstan's presidency over the OSCE and the results of the Summit in Astana.
Mr. Noël Kinsella congratulated Kazakhstanis on successful holding of that historic event and expressed intention to make an official visit to Kazakhstan in the second half of 2011.
Besides, the Speaker asked to convey congratulations on the coming Independence Day to President Nursultan Nazarbayev and the people of Kazakhstan.
