Kazakh Ambassador meets Pakistani Senate Chairman
There were discussed the Kazakh-Pakistani relations and prospects of development of bilateral cooperation. The Chairman emphasized that Pakistan highly appraises relationships of the two states.
The Kazakh diplomat informed the Senate Chairman of the priorities of Kazakhstan's foreign policy within the country's chairmanship in the OSCE, main of which is the issue of tolerance and dialogue between cultures. Talking about upcoming Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OIC in 2011 he confirmed Kazakhstan's readiness to interaction with Pakistan.
In this connection Farooq Naek expressed hope for Kazakhstan's support as chairman of these international organizations.
It was noted that Kazakhstan pays special attention to the humanitarian aspect of regulation of the Afghan situation, and will allocate USD 50 mln for education of thousands Afghan students in Kazakhstan.
Farooq Naek got the invitation for the 2nd Trans-Asian Parliamentary Forum "Eurasian Dimension of the OSCE", which will be held in Kazakhstan this year. He expressed gratitude and invited his Kazakh colleague to visit Pakistan.
The sides noted the development of interparliamentary ties and importance of cooperation of Kazakhstan and Pakistan within international organizations.
