Kazakh Ambassador, Japanese Economy, Trade and Industry Minister met

The Kazakh Ambassador informed the interlocutor on the economic policy of the Kazakh Government in the world financial crisis, the state program on forced industrial development of our country, stressing the adherence of Astana to the principals of Kazakh-Japanese strategic partnership, outlined in the joint declaration upon the results of the visit of the Kazakh President to Japan last year.

The interlocutors highly appraised the first session of the Joint Commission of state and private sectors of Kazakhstan and Japan on economic cooperation held in Astana on October 22. They expressed hope on further strengthening of cooperation between the countries.

A.Kamaldin noted that the world leadership of Japan in the sphere of development and introduction of advanced technologies and presence of rich natural resources in Kazakhstan are good conditions for establishment of mutually beneficial cooperation.

The Japanese Minister paid special attention to the necessity of activation of efforts on formation of corresponding legal base between two countries, in particular, acceleration of preparation processes of draft documents that are most important for the development of full scale trade-economic cooperation.
