Kazakh Ambassador held press conference on EAPC Security Forum in Baku
The Ambassador briefed journalists, accredited in Azerbaijan on the international activities, held in Kazakhstan. In particular, S.Primbetov informed on the III Security Forum of the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council to be held in Astana on June 24. The initiative of the holding of the forum was proposed by Kazakh President N.Nazarbayev and supported by the EAPC.
According to the Ambassador, the Forum will be held at the post-soviet space and Asia as whole for the first time and is one of the biggest NATO informal platforms for open and free discussion of the issues of the regional and global security.
Delegation of 50 EAPC and NATO member states, other countries and international organizations will take part in discussions of such topical issues as the security in Afghanistan, Central Asia, and Caspian and Black Sea regions. "The visit of NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer is planned", S.Primbetov said.
Holding of "Rose-Roth" inter-parliamentary seminar - inter-parliamentary dialogue on topical issues of the Euro-Atlantic security is scheduled in Astana on June 25-26 as well.
