Kazakh Ambassador A. Kamaldinov meets Deputy of Japanese Parliament Y. Kawaguchi

ASTANA.  September 29. KAZINFORM Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Japan Akylbek Kamaldinov has met with co-Chairman of the International Commission on Nuclear Non-proliferation and Disarmament, Deputy of the House of Councillors of the Japanese Parliament, ex-Minister of Foreign Affairs Yoriko Kawaguchi in Tokyo, the press service of the MFA informs.

Issues of cooperation of Kazakhstan and Japan in ensuring security, non-proliferation of nuclear weapons and global climate change were in focus of the parties.  

The Ambassador informed the Japanese side of the Kazakh President's initiative on convocation of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA), fight with terrorism, promotion of dialogue of civilizations, development of economic, humanitarian and ecological cooperation on the Asian continent as well mutually beneficial cooperation within "Central Asia + Japan" dialogue. In this view, the Kazakh diplomat expressed hope that soonest accession of Japan to the CICA will help provide regional and global security.

As Yoriko Kawaguchi pointed out, N. Nazarbayev's international initiatives on ensuring regional and global security, especially in nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament fully meet the requirements of modernity.
