Kazakh airlines launch charter flights to European tourist cities
Charter flights will be launched from Astana to Greek Rhodes from Almaty to Greek Heraklion and Spanish Barcelona.
An Airbus 320 will fly to Rhodes, and Boeing 757-200 (or Boeing 767-300ER in the high season) will fly to Heraklion and Barcelona. The first flights are scheduled for June 14, 20 and 21 and will take place every 10 days.
The agreement on the sale of seats to these destinations will be reached with tour operators, so tickets can be purchased through travel agencies, Kazinform refers to trend.az.
Air Astana is the flag carrier and the national airline of Kazakhstan. It is a joint venture owned by the Government of Kazakhstan (51 percent) and British BAE Systems (49 percent). Its passenger traffic hit 3.7 million people in 2013. Air Astana's fleet consisted of 30 aircrafts as of the end of 2013.
