President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan has sent a congratulatory telegram to the President of the Russian Federation, Qazinform News Agency reports, citing the Akorda press service.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Vladimir Putin on the national holiday — Russia Day.

"Kazakhstan cherishes its relations of friendship and good neighborliness with fraternal Russia, which are steadily developing in the spirit of strategic partnership and allied cooperation. Your recent state visit to Kazakhstan was of particular significance, opening new horizons for mutually beneficial cooperation and giving a powerful boost to large-scale projects and initiatives. I am confident that through joint efforts, interstate ties between Kazakhstan and Russia will continue to develop dynamically in all spheres," the message reads.

The President of Kazakhstan wished Vladimir Putin continued success in his responsible state duties for the well-being and prosperity of the Russian Federation.

Earlier, President Tokayev received the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, Marlen Mamataliyev.
