Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulates Canada's new governor general

The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has sent a congratulatory telegram to the Governor General of Canada, Louise Arbour, Qazinform News Agency reports, citing the Akorda press service.
The President congratulated Louise Arbour on her official assumption of office, wished her success in her responsible state duties, and extended wishes of well-being and prosperity to the people of Canada.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev reaffirmed Kazakhstan's commitment to strengthening the multifaceted partnership with Canada and expressed readiness for close cooperation in the interests of the two countries' peoples.
Earlier, the Head of State extended National Day greetings to the President of Portugal.
