Karaganda region attracts nearly 680 billion tenge of investments since early 2024
Karaganda region’s economy is gathering paces with two new enterprises producing polyethylene pipes and steel gas-fired hot water boilers. Another eight projects are expected to be launched as well. This is what Governor of Karaganda region Yermaganbet Bulekpayev said at the briefing in the Central Communications Office, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The head of the region reported on the fulfillment of the President’s instructions on improvement of the local population’s life.
According to him, 679.1 billion tenge of investments have been injected in the region’s economy since the year beginning, that is 14.6% more against the same period in 2023.
“Two new enterprises appeared on the region's map. By the end of the year, we will launch another eight projects worth more than 200 billion tenge and will create as many as 2,600 jobs. The largest projects are the cooper and ferrosilicon plants,” the governor said.
The region’s industrial output has exceeded 2.8 trillion tenge, the lion’s share of which or 2.2 trillion tenge was generated in the processing industry.
