Karaganda police rescue 54 foreigners on icy highway

KARAGANDA. KAZINFORM - Karaganda police have helped 54 citizens of Uzbekistan who stuck on the Kyzylorda-Pavlodar highway, officials say.
The Ubek citizens were on their way from Novosibirsk, Russia to Tashkent, Uzbekistan when their bus got broken in the middle of the highway due to low temperatures. The people were trapped in the Mercedes bus for several hours when the Karaganda police came to their rescue. All passengers were safely transported to the nearest roadside café. No injuries were reported.
