Karaganda police detain BMW X5 driver who killed pedestrian

KARAGANDA. December 12. KAZINFORM - Karaganda police officers have arrested a 21-year-old driver of the BMW X5 who run down a girl walking on a crosswalk and fled the scene of the accident, according to Ergabyl Zhukenov, the Deputy Chief of the administrative police of the DIA of Karaganda region.
The tragedy has happened today, December 12, at 07.30 am in the center of Karaganda. The driver BMW X5 hit a young girl to death and fled the accident scene. The dead was a third year student of Karaganda State Medical University, a resident of the South Kazakhstan region. Police asked witnesses to help in the search for a guilty person.
According to Zhukenov the arrested 21-year-old driver made a confession. The circumstances of the traffic accident are being investigated.
