Karachaganak Petroleum Operating the leader among companies with disparities in salaries

ASTANA. March 28. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan branch of the largest oil company "Karachaganak Petroleum Operating BV" (KPO) in the West Kazakhstan region has become the leader among the companies in which there have been identified disparities in salaries. Eleven of such facts have been revealed in the company.

This has been announced today at the press briefing by the spokesman and the press secretary of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection Yernur Burahan.

"One of the examples is the following: earnings of a foreign engineer of the first level division of well operation amount to KZT 2,675,426, while a citizen of Kazakhstan doing the same job gets KZT 375,823, it is seven times less, " he said.

According to him high salaries are mostly received by Italians and Britons.

It can be recalled that for two months this year the Ministry of Labor and prosecutors has been conducting 190 unscheduled inspections, during which 108 of the facts have revealed disparities in 51 companies. 6 of these companies are Kazakh and 45 are with foreign participation.
