Kapshagai solar power project will be on display at EXPO-2017 - Nazarbayev

ASTANA. December 20. KAZINFORM - Kapshagai solar power station (CSP) has currently been connected to the national grid during the national teleconference with the participation of Head of State.
"With great joy I am authorized to permit the connection because it is one of the first signs in the transition to a green economy. I think that is what we will be exhibiting at EXPO-2017. Kapshagai project will become a model for other regions of the country in obtaining alternative energy. I hope you'll increase productivity of the station", he said, giving the command to "Samruk -Energo" director Almasadam Satkaliev to make connection to the system.
Chairman of "Samruk-Energo" Board noted that the corporation had been realizing more than 10 projects under development of alternative energy sources. As for the CSP, its installed capacity of 2 MW is enough to provide electricity to about 600 homes.
