Kapparov reported to Head of State on EXPO-2017 preparations

ASTANA. April 15. KAZINFORM President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has met with Minister of Environmental Protection of Kazakhstan Nurlan Kapparov today, Kazinform refers to the press service of Akorda.

Nurlan Kapparov reported on the main directions of the ministry's activity including "green economy" policy, key principles of "Green Bridge" Program and preparations for the International specialized exhibition EXPO-2017.

During the meeting, Nursultan Nazarbayev noted it was necessary to ensure the rational use of water resources.

"Today, the use and conservation of water resources is within the competence of the Ministry of Environmental Protection. The water resources in Kazakhstan are very important, their importance will only grow in the future. There is a shortage of drinking and irrigation water in the world. In this context, the effective management of these processes requires highly skilled professionals," Nursultan Nazarbayev concluded.
