Harry Kane opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 12th minute, but Croatia responded through Martin Baturina midway through the first half.

England regained the lead just before the break when Kane struck again, only for Petar Musa to level the score at 2-2 in first-half stoppage time.

The stalemate was broken shortly after the restart, when Jude Bellingham restored England’s lead. Marcus Rashford then sealed the win with a late goal in the 85th minute.

The result leaves England at the top of Group L after the opening round of matches.

The Three Lions will face Ghana in their next match, while Croatia will play Panama.

Qazinform News Agency previously reported that DR Congo in Group K held Portugal to a 1-1 draw, with Wissa’s historic goal marking a milestone at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
