K.Tokayev met with Turkish Ambassador to Kazakhstan

The Speaker congratulated the Ambassador on the appointment to the post and wished success in work. Complimenting the intensity of contacts K.Tokayev emphasized the importance of further strengthening of the interparliamentary dialogue.

A group on cooperation with the Grand National Assembly of Turkey was established in the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament. The activity of the Turkish-Kazakh friendship group is aimed at the promotion of cooperation between the two states as well.

An official visit of Speaker of the Parliament of Turkey Mahmet Ali Sahin to Kazakhstan is scheduled for October 7-10. As the Kazakh Speaker noted, the visit would give new impetus to further activation of the interparliamentary cooperation.

Complimenting the results of the summit of Heads of Turkic-speaking states in Istanbul L.Ulker expressed gratitude to the Kazakh President and emphasized the role of N.Nazarbayev in establishment of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking countries.
