K. Saudabayev to deliver speech at UNHRC session in Switzerland

ASTANA. March 1. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ Secretary of State-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabayev will deliver speech at the XIII session of the UN Human Rights Council scheduled in Switzerland; Official Representative of the Foreign Ministry Askar Abdrakhmanov has informed of it today at a briefing.

"Kanat Saudabayev will deliver his speech at a high level segment of XIII session of the UN Human Rights Council including the plenary session of the Conference on Disarmament. He will also hold a number of meetings with the leadership of the UN European Department", he said.

According to him K. Saudabaeyv will also meet with UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navanethem Pillay. As A. Abdrakhmanov underlined the parties will discuss the issues of effective interaction between Kazakhstan and international structures, which monitor observance of human rights in different states of the world.

The Conference on Disarmament is a single multilateral disarmament negotiating forum of the international community. This time high-ranking representatives from over 60 states as well as specially invited heads of a number of authoritative international organizations take part in the conference.
