K.Massimov, V.Putin discuss topical issues of Kazakh-Russian strategic partnership

ASTANA. May 21. KAZINFORM Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov has held a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, who pays an official visit to Astana, in the Ukimet Uiy; Kazinform refers to the Premier?s press service.
At the meeting in the narrow format there was held an exchange of opinions on a number of topical issues of strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Russia.
The sides discussed the topical issues on the Customs Union formation, partnership in the sphere of fuel and energy sector, including nuclear power, transit-transport complex and other sectors of economy.
In particular, the course of implementation of the Joint Actions Plan of Kazakhstan and Russia for 2009-2010, the issues in the sphere of fuel and energy sector, transport and improvement of the contract-legal base on Baikonur complex and etc.
The sides noted growth of mutual investments, development of economic ties between near oblasts of the two countries.
At the meeting a number of issues on further coordination of efforts on minimization of affection of the global economic crisis consequences on Kazakhstan and Russia and on extension of interaction within the framework of integration processes was discussed.
Finally, a number of international documents were signed.
