K.Baizakova: Kazakhstan's chairmanship in OSCE - result of multivector foreign policy course
According to her, at the first stage of the state development this foreign policy course allowed to ensure geopolitical recognition and subjectivity of Kazakhstan. In the following years the country's numerous initiatives on strengthening security measures raised its international image. "Today we really face necessity to form a new agenda on security, draw attention to non-traditional challenges significance", K.Baizakova said.
Among the Kazakh initiatives we can note the issues of nuclear disarmament, nuclear threat reduction, creation of conditions for an interethnic and interfaith dialog development, assistance in solution of energy and transport security problems, issues of the Afghan situation stabilization.
"These all issues are on the agenda of the Kazakh chairmanship in the OSCE in order to attract attention of the Organization's space to these problems solution. We believe that Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OSCE will have a significant impact on many problems solution in Central Asian region", the Head of the Centre noted.
