JSC 'Balkhashskaya TES', Samsung Engineering Co Ltd sign deal

ASTANA. Jun 25. KAZINFORM JSC 'Balkhashskaya TES' (Kazakhstan) and Samsung Engineering Company Limited (South Korea) closed a deal on the turnkey construction project of the first module of Balkhash electrical and thermal power station.
The EPC contract was signed by the reps of the companies on Monday (June 25) in Astana, the press release of JSC 'Samruk-Energy' reads.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea in Kazakhstan attended the signing ceremony.
CEO of JSC 'Samruk-Energy' Almasadam Saitkaliyev said that project was being implemented on the instruction of President Nazarbayev and was under supervision of JSC 'National Welfare Fund 'Samruk-Kazyna' CEO Umirzak Shukeyev.
"The signing of this deal brings us closer to implementing the instructions of the Head of State and the Government of the country. I am sure we will jointly implement this project within the established deadlines," A. Saitkaliyev underlined.
