ASTANA. KAZINFORM "Jordan regards Kazakhstan as the gateway to Europe and Asia while Kazakhstan considers Jordan the gateway to the Middle East," Speaker of the Parliament of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Abdur-Rauof Rawabdeh told journalists after the meeting with his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev.
"One of the brightest evidences of warm relations between our nations is that one of the main streets of Amman is named in honor of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev as well as one of the main streets of Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, is named after the late King Hussein," he added. As stated there, the parties debated the parliamentary system of Kazakhstan and legislative branch of Jordan.
