Jordan participates in the Conference of the leaders of religions in Astana

President Nazarbayev, who opened the session in the Palace of peace and reconciliation emphasized on the importance of instilling the values of tolerance and moderation in our world, and the need to respect others, and to ensure freedom of religion for all, without exposure to the fundamentals.

At the opening a number of leaders representatives of various religions spoke, the most prominent were Sheikh of Azhar mosque and the Secretary General of the Association of the Islamic world and the Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations.

The participants discussed several working sessions during the several issues the most prominent the role of religious leaders in building a peace based on tolerance and mutual respect and cooperation, and moral and spiritual values and global ethics, solidarity especially in times of crisis. The work of the Conference continued Thursday, and the representative of His Majesty the King delivered a speech entitled "The creation of tolerance and the recognition of difference " to emphasize the role of Jordan in support of dialogue among civilizations and religions as the best way to disseminate the values advocated by His Majesty the King for circulation, which has become a Jordan's local speech, regional and global and international , and they are the values of tolerance, moderation, and respect for others.

He said that Jordan built to highlight the true image of Islam and stop it contained false attacks by virtue of the responsibility of spiritual and historical legacy and the legitimacy of religious which is carried by the Hashemite leadership by legitimacy connected to God's blessings and peace be upon him prophet Mohammad who carry the message of Islam.

Sheikh Hijjawi clarifies that his Majesty King Abdullah II was the pioneer in the rift of moderation of  Islam in international forums and within earshot of the whole world and thus the Hashemite leadership positions imposed world's respect and recognition of good efforts on the humanitarian level, pointing to the award for tolerance given in 2005 to the King from the World Organization of Simon Wiesenthal for Human Rights, which includes members from France, Britain, Canada and the United States, and increases the importance of this reward is that it's given His Majesty in the critical condition of the whole world and what His Majesty the King represent of the status of religious, historical and cultural, in the footsteps of His Majesty King Hussein Bin Talal - May Allah bless his soul - which was the first Muslims won the peace prize in 1995.

He added that Jordan took the initiative to highlight Islam's position on the events of 11 September 2001, the focus was on the pre-eminence of Islam moderation and that Muslims can not be taken with the Identification with some of the extremists who are existed in any religion or homeland, and they are not exclusive to Muslims , and events in the world  prove it.

Hijjawi said that Jordan gave the best model of coexistence between religious communities and its free practices the rituals and private laws, which reflected in the cooperation and mutual respect in social relations without sensitivity, as Islamic scholars usually meet with Christian clergy from diverse communities, and met together in establishing the Jordanian Center for Research on religious coexistence,  and held three international conferences, emphasized the thoughts of coexistence also visited many countries carrying this thought.

He noted that the international conferences have been active in promoting and highlighting the culture of dialogue among civilizations in the face of a culture of conflict and confrontation, and to highlight the values of tolerance, which was urged by the monotheistic religions for that the dialogues between religions was to cooperate with the values we share, and to recognize all the opinion and the other opinion, and to raise what was agreed between the nations of the Earth after the suffering from the two world wars caused the lost of lives of millions of humans and destroyed the facilities and construction, and dispelled countless funds until it realized that there must be understanding and coexistence, which cause the establish of the Charter of the United Nations, which focused on the human values of individuals, peoples and nations " and for these purposes we take ourselves for tolerance and live together in peace and good neighborliness. "

Sheikh Hijjawi said that Jordan was the initiator in the promotion of Islamic solidarity, referring to the International Islamic Conference in Amman in 2005 and which was opened by His Majesty King Abdullah II issued his historic statement that the six Islamic doctrines, and no one can describes the others from the infidels , and it was the meeting that causes Muslims Unit , also His Majesty's participating in the Mecca Conference , emphasizing that with recognition of the difference there should be cooperation and to meet under the tent of Islam, which brings us together cause our religion is one and one and our Prophet.

He pointed out that the Aal al-Bayt Royal Foundation for Islamic Thought cooperated in convening 31 conferences of dialogue between the religions, including various Christian denominations.

He pointed to Hijawi, "initiative, whether the word" launched by His Royal Highness Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad Personal Envoy and Special Adviser to His Majesty the King the President of the Board of Trustees of the Aal al-Bayt Royal Foundation for Islamic Thought in 2007 and signed by a large number of scientists and thought leaders in the world.

He referred to the visit of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI to Jordan in May and was received by His Majesty King Abdullah II and Queen Rania, also received by His Royal Highness Prince Ghazi in the mosque of King Hussein Bin Talal - May Allah bless his soul - with the presence of Muslim scholars and Christian clerics.
