In his address, Raed Shboul, Secretary General of the Ministry for Primary Health Care and Epidemics, highlighted the historical significance of traditional medicine in Jordan, tracing its origins to civilizations such as the Nabataeans, Romans, and Arabs, detailing how Jordan’s traditional medicine relies primarily on herbal remedies and cupping techniques.

A ministry statement underscored ongoing cooperation between Jordan and China in traditional medicine. This collaboration spans research, studies, health personnel training, and establishing specialized traditional medicine centers in Jordan.

Shboul also announced that the Ministry has drafted a regulatory system for complementary treatments in Jordan. The system incorporates Chinese medical practices, cupping, and herbal medicine to ensure these methods' organized and professional application.
